Research Opportunities at Doloromics
February 15, 2021
The goal of Doloromics is to find better approaches for treating chronic pain. We use cutting edge computational techniques to analyze genomic sequencing data from human patients and tissue to identify biomarkers and novel drug targets.
We’re currently looking for a part-time laboratory intern to join our team and assist in day-to-day molecular biology work during our term at the Illumina Accelerator program. As a member of our team, the ideal candidate will be capable over overseeing SOPs and delivering sequencing data results for further analysis. Training on specific molecular biology protocols will be provided, but general comfort in a laboratory environment is necessary. Doloromics is a small team, so the candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside the founders in developing our therapeutic platform and accelerating our abilities to deliver both novel drugs and screening capabilities to the market.
1 year of experience in a molecular biology or similar laboratory environment.
Ability to follow written protocols and deliver on time results.
Willingness to work independently in the lab for approximately 20 hours a week and follow all COVID safety protocols.
2-3 years experience in a molecular biology or similar laboratory environment.
A background in pain neurobiology.
Experience in RNA-sequencing techniques.
Proficient in either Matlab, Python, or R.
Location: Illumina Accelerator lab facilities, Foster City, CA.
